John Salt is the Senior Vice-President of Supply Chain at Canadian Tire Corporation. He is responsible for leading the logistics, distribution and transportation functions for the Canadian Tire Retail Division.  Mr. Salt has worked for Canadian Tire since 1999 and has held roles of increasing responsibility in logistics, distribution, express auto parts and operations planning prior to taking on his current role.

Before joining Canadian Tire, Mr. Salt was a Principal at Ernst & Young as a management consultant specializing in Operations Management.  In that role, he divided his time between the manufacturing and distribution sector working with clients to improve productivity, quality and cost effectiveness.

Mr. Salt has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Industrial Engineering from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and a Masters degree in Business Administration from York University.
