Skytrain: getting to and from the airport and downtown

When traveling between the Vancouver International Airport and downtown Vancouver, here’s what you should know about the Canada Line Skytrain.

This new Vancouver Airport train service replaces all public transit bus service to/from YVR. The “Canada Line” Skytrain is a quick, clean, comfortable and affordable way of transportation from Vancouver Airport to Downtown Vancouver.

The trip from the airport to downtown’s Waterfront station takes approximately 26 minutes. Trains are equipped with extra room for baggage.

Designed to handle the increase in traffic during the 2010 Winter Olympics, the Skytrain is an above-ground light rail train that connects YVR with downtown Vancouver and Richmond.

The YVR – Airport Canada Line Station is located above the covered parking garage at the airport.
