Tour Description

Located on the southwest coast of British Columbia, Port Metro Vancouver serves as Canada's dynamic gateway for domestic and international trade and tourism.  The Port's jurisdiction encompasses over 600 km of shoreline and extends from Roberts Bank, near the US/Canada border, through the Fraser River, to Burrard Inlet. 

The facility tour will be about 1.5 hours around Burrard Inlet and will include a water-side view of major marine terminals along the South and North Shore of the Inlet.  Guest will have a have an opportunity to see bulk, breakbulk, container and cruise terminals as well as their on-dock rail facilities. 

Port Metro Vancouver is Canada's largest and most diversified port, handling 102 million tonnes of cargo annually.  The Port offers 28 major marine cargo terminals and three Class I railroads, providing a full range of facilities and services to the international shipping community.  The Port's deep-sea terminals offer Panamax and Super Post-Panamax capacity and extensive on-dock rail facilities.
