Membership Categories

The CITT is a non-profit member-based organization with a membership of over 2,000 supply chain and logistics professionals across Canada. Our members include leaders, managers and directors in industry; operations and company executives in transportation companies, freight forwarders, customs brokers, government representatives, and consultants.

There are four categories of CITT Membership:

Undergraduate Members

All individuals currently working through the CITT Program of Study in supply chain and transportation logistics management are considered Undergraduate members of CITT. Undergraduate membership is maintained by continuing to take courses or by paying annual dues.

Associate Members

Associate Members are candidates for earning the CITT Designation. These individuals have:

  • Completed the CITT Program of Study in supply chain and transportation logistics management, but are currently in the process of achieving five years of related work experience;
  • Committed to ongoing professional development;
  • Agreed to uphold the CITT code of ethics.

Like Active Members, Associate Members receive a membership certificate; however they cannot use the CITT designation.

Certification Maintenance units are collected, and annual membership dues of $75.00 are paid to maintain Associate membership.

Active Members: CITT-Certified Professionals

Active members are CITT-certified professionals who are entitled to use the CITT Designation. These individuals have:

  • Completed the CITT Program of Study in supply chain and transportation logistics management;
  • Achieved five or more years of related work experience;
  • Committed to ongoing professional development, through compliance with the Certification Maintenance program;
  • Agreed to uphold the CITT code of ethics;
  • Pay annual dues.

Only members in good standing are entitled to use the professional designation CITT, an Official Mark registered under the Trade-Mark Act.

Retired Members: CITT-Certified Professionals

Retired Members are CITT-certified professionals, entitled to use the CITT Designation. These individuals have:

  • Completed the CITT Program of Study in supply chain and transportation logistics management;
  • Achieved five or more years of related work experience;
  • Agreed to uphold the CITT code of ethics;
  • Retired from working in supply chain and transportation logistics.

Annual membership dues are required to maintain Retired membership and use of the CITT Designation.
