Certification Maintenance

Continuous professional development is one way CITT ensures their members remain industry's elite.

As such, regular career maintenance is actively encouraged. It is an absolute necessity for both the integrity of the CITT designation and for the credibility of your own career.

Since 1999, CITT-certified professionals and Associate members have dedicated themselves to continuous learning through participation in the CITT Certification Maintenance Program.

Maintenance Requirements

As a CITT-certified professional or an Associate Member, you are required to accumulate 50 certification maintenance units (CMUs) over a two-year cycle.

The two-year cycle began on December 1, 2009 and ends on November 30, 2011.

Learning units must be reported to the CITT annually.

Benefits

By participating in the Certification Maintenance Program, you are:

  • Ensuring the CITT designation remains respected industry-wide
  • Helping to maintain and sharpen vital workplace competencies
  • Demonstrating the intrinsic value of hiring a CITT-certified professional
  • Promoting yourself as someone who values career education
