Focus Groups to Review Draft Occupational Standards

CSCSC is currently seeking stakeholder input into the development of Canadian supply chain occupational standards. If you have experience in the supply chain sector, we welcome your involvement. Click here for more details about dates and session locations.

Career Focus

In follow up to the ACCC regional meetings, the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council has recently adopted a new wage subsidy program called “Career Focus." Through this program, a new employee in a supply chain role can receive up to $12750.00 from the Council to help pay his/her wages for the first year. The employee must have a university or college degree or diploma, and be between the ages of 15 and 30.

Participation is simple: enrol in the program, then select a candidate, complete the short application form and, if approved, submit proof of wages paid in each pay period.

To find out more: go to www.supplychaincanada.org/en/career-focus or contact Sheryl Keenan, at 905-897-6700, 1-866-616-3468 or skeenan@supplychaincanada.org

Compendium of Supply Chain Programs Available Online

Canada's first comprehensive database of education and training programs for the supply chain sector is now available online. The Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council (CSCSC) conducted research that has resulted in a searchable PDF on its website. In the future, the database will become a more interactive tool.

Information for the compendium was gathered from three sources: associations, post-secondary institutions and employers.
