Scholarships & Financial Assistance

Scholarships

The following scholarships are available annually for individuals taking courses with CITT:

Pat Cullen Scholarship and John Chipperfield Scholarship

Two scholarships of $1,000 each are available to candidates who have completed Transportation Systems and Logistics Processes. Candidates must have achieved a passing mark in their last course, and are responsible for their own tuition fees.

These scholarships are made available by Bellville Rodair International and are in honour of Pat Cullen, CITT and John Chipperfield, CITT, two well-respected members of their organization who have made significant contributions to the supply chain field.


R. Eric Gracey Memorial Scholarship

One scholarship of $500 is available to a candidate who has completed Transportation Systems and Logistics Processes. The candidate must have achieved a passing mark in their last course, and is responsible for their own tuition fees.

This scholarship is made available by DTA Freight Consultants.


Transportation Law Scholarship

One scholarship of $500 is available to a candidate who wishes to take the Transportation Law course. The candidate must have achieved a passing mark in their last course, and is responsible for their own tuition fees.

This scholarship is made available by William S.G.Tackaberry, CITT, of TCRC Freight Legal Services.


National Transportation Brokers Association Scholarship

One scholarship in the amount of $500 is annually available to CITT candidates who have completed Transportation Systems & Logistics Processes.  The candidate must have achieved a passing mark in their last course, and is responsible for their own tuition fees.

This scholarship is sponsored by the members of the National Transportation Brokers Association.  The NTBA is a non-profit organization that advocates for the interests of Canada’s leading load brokerages which include 3PL’s, carriers, customs brokers and stand-alone brokers. 

How to Apply for Scholarships

Submit an essay (approximately 250 words in length) explaining your career objectives and the role that the CITT designation will play in achieving these goals.

All candidates must also include a letter stating that they are not receiving any funding from either their employer or the government for these courses.

All Scholarship requests must be accompanied by a CITT registration form.

Please note: July 31st is the cut-off date to submit an application for a scholarship for the academic year commencing in September.

 

Financial Assistance

Since its inception in 1958, the Canadian Transportation Education Foundation (CTEF) has been providing interest free loans to students who wish to enroll in the CITT program. Students are required to reimburse the CTEF once they have completed their studies.

Students who are applying for loans from the CTEF must apply at least 30 days prior to the end of the CITT registration period.
