In the supply chain logistics sector, professionals have a choice of credentials, from general to more focused sun-specializations. And many of those credentials are complementary, with cross-functional certification becoming more common among highly committed pros. The most respected professional credentials are "designations" with common features:

  • A designation is earned
  • A designation holder meets clear, objective standards of knowledge
  • A designation holder has related professional experience

The best designations also commit their holders to ethical conduct that prioritizes public good and are renewable only if the holder provides evidence that they’re keeping up with developments in the profession. When considering hiring or training an employee with a designation or certification, employers are encouraged to examine each option, its requirements, and its post-certification support to ensure their complete set of needs are being met. The supply chain and logistics sector is managing an explosion of challenge. Our professionals have never had to be this good, and challenge increases daily.
