Matthieu leads the commercial branch within the Cargo division at Air Canada. In this role, Matthieu oversees Global Sales, Customer Service, Cargo Marketing and Products and the Revenue Management and Business Intelligence units. With over 25 years industry experience, Matthieu has spent the last 12 at Air Canada Cargo in various commercial roles both with Canadian and Global responsibility. Prior to joining Air Canada, Matthieu held roles in the commercial organization and Business Intelligence Services unit at the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Steve Magirias
Drone Delivery Canada

Steve joined DDC in February 2022 and is responsible for the overall leadership of the organization. He brings over 20 years of experience with both mature well-established organizations and entrepreneurial companies in a variety of industries including aerospace and defense, capital equipment and medical devices. His background includes manufacturing, engineering, product development, continuous improvement and operations in wholesale, retail and direct to consumer markets having previously worked for Husky Injection Molding Systems, Curtiss Wright Corporation and Orthotic Holdings Inc.

Steve has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Ryerson University, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, York University and is a licensed professional engineer.


Chris Petersen

Chris has over 15 years of aviation and air cargo experience, building teams, driving growth, and leading innovation. He has a deep understanding of the complexities and economics of operating profitably in any airline environment. Chris is a passionate advocate for the need to innovate in aviation.

Chris is also currently the 2nd Vice-President of the Toronto Transportation Club (North America’s largest transportation network), has a Master of Aviation Management Degree, and a valid Commercial Pilot License.
