CITT Course Facilitators

CITT's course faciltators are respected industry professionals with decades of real-world experience across sectors of the industry, on shipper and carrier sides of the business. CITT facilitators all CCLP designation holders, and many hold teaching and education credentials as well. 

Michel Bauer, MIS, BAS, CCLP

With a strong aviation maintenance and customer service contract administration, commercial management and business teaching background, Michel is an international operations and supply chain professional with over 30 years of varied experience in: commercial business development, commercial contract management, finance, inventory management, internal auditing, teaching, and customer service management. Previously, as General Manager, Commercial Operations for Air Canada Maintenance division, he held budgetary responsibility. He managed a commercial team which administered  budgetary spend by providing contractual financial and commercial leadership to the heavy aircraft, engine, and component maintenance operations.

In 2011, Michel joined Aveos Aircraft Fleet Management, an international aircraft maintenance organization offering his expertise in business development customer service and contract management support. Michel has also developed and co-authored a Finance workbook for an Ontario college's School of Business. Michel holds the CCLP designation and holds a Masters in Information Systems (MIS) including a Bachelor of Administrative Studies (BAS, Accounting and Finance) as well as an IATA Aviation Law Diploma. Michel currently teaches several business and commerce courses at Vanier College in Montreal, Quebec on a full time basis.

Steve Bishop, CCLP, CPA, BBA

Steve Bishop earned his CCLP designation in 2004 and holds a number of different accreditations including his Certified Management Accountant (CPA), Bachelor of Business Administration from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario and a Business Administration Diploma with Honours from Humber College in Etobicoke, Ontario. Steve is currently working towards a Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development from Cape Breton University. In addition to Steve's current role as Controller with Global Distribution and Warehousing which he started in 2005, Steve has also been a facilitator for CITT's online course, Economic Influences on Logistics since 2004 and is a part-time Supply Chain Management Professor at Centennial College since January of 2018

 

Beverly Jones, CCLP, P.Log, P.MM, BBM, CTB 

A seasoned logistics experience with extensive international and domestic experience, Beverly Jones has worked in transportation logistics for over two decades. For 22 of her years in the industry, she has been developing and teaching CITT courses through Sheridan College and CITT’s online learning platform. Beverly has a strong focus on coaching and mentoring, and motivating those on her teams. In addition to holding the CCLP designation, she holds the P.Log and Professional in Materials Management (P.MM) credential, and is a Certified Transportation Broker. Beverly teaches the CITT courses Transportation Systems, Logistics Processes, and Integrated Logistics. In 2018, she became the 14th professional to win the prestigious annual CITT Award of Excellence. 

   


 

Natalie Kotikova, CCLP, MBA 

Natalie Kotikova is a CITT-certified Logistics Professional with 20+ years of industry experience. A subject matter expert on all facets of operations management, Natalie helped many North American corporations deliver innovative projects in Transportation, Distribution, Logistics and Supply Chain. She is currently responsible for running multi-million dollar Roadside Assistance and Drivers Academy businesses for Canadian Tire Corporation while teaching part-time at CITT and Humber College. Natalie in known for her strategic thinking and interest in disruptive technologies. She is a frequent speaker at colleges, universities, and industry events where she shares a wealth of experience with the students who are looking to advance their careers. An energetic and passionate Instructor, Natalie utilizes in-depth business knowledge to motivate, educate and excite students. She holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.

 

Paul Kurrat, CCLP, P.MM, BBA, MBA, MEd

 

Paul Kurrat has over 30 years’ experience in logistics and operations, over which he’s proven himself an outstanding manager and consensus builder with expertise in directing strong teams to enhance corporate goals and knowledge management. Mr. Kurrat has been teaching CITT courses live and online for over 20 years, and has developed courses for programs in business, supply chain, and project management for Sheridan College, Conestoga College, and Assiniboine College. To improve his ability to deliver learning to the highest standards, he completed his Bachelor of Education at Brock University, and he earned his Master of Education (M.Ed) from the University of New Brunswick in 2016. He has taught all of CITT’s specialized logistics courses and was the third professional ever to be awarded the prestigious CITT Award of Excellence.

 

Michael Loughman, CCLP

A native Montrealer, Michael received his MBA from Concordia University in 1988, specializing in Transportation. He also has a B.A. (History) from Concordia. He has held senior Transportation and Logistics positions in multi-national companies such as L'Oréal, Pfizer, Parmalat and Cadbury. Michael has his CCLP designation and was a member of the CITT Board of Directors for several years. He is still involved in the local Montreal Chapter. Michael returned to Montreal in 2007 after fourteen years in Toronto. He has been teaching at Champlain College in Saint Lambert for over ten years, where he develops and delivers several Transportation and Logistics courses. He also teaches "Fundamentals of Business" in the DEC program. Michael is also that school's Internship Coordinator. He has also taught at Concordia, Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles, and at Vanier College. He also consults; his mandates have included: global air and ocean RFP (pharmaceutical company), internal logistics network (health care institution); reverse logistics process (pharmaceutical company); rewriting several chapters of a logistics reference handbook.

Pina Melchionna, BA, PFP, LL.B, MBA, TEP, ICD.D

Ms. Melchionna has a Juris Doctorate Law Degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a specialized Master of Business Administration in Financial Services from Dalhousie University. She completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program and was awarded the ICD.D designation in 2015. Ms. Melchionna is a member in good standing of both the Ontario and Saskatchewan Bar Associations and is also a member of the Professional Financial Planning Council and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Most recently, Ms. Melchionna was Executive Vice President at Concentra Bank where she led the operations of Concentra Trust, its wholly owned subsidiary and was responsible for the strategic delivery of trust and estate solutions as an integral part of wealth management. She was part of the executive leadership team providing oversight for wholesale banking, commercial lending and leasing strategies supporting the credit union market in Canada. Prior to her work at Concentra, Ms. Melchionna worked at several other national financial institutions and initially began her career as a lawyer in Ontario. She was also a professor at Humber College, Sheridan College and Seneca College. She is currently President & CEO of CITT

 

 

Larry Mitchell, CCLP, MBA 

Larry Mitchell has over 20 years’ experience in transportation logistics and has been teaching for 13 years. Larry has been responsible for the oversight of the United Van Line accounts including the industry’s largest customer the Canadian Federal Government. Prior to that, he worked with Axiall, where he procured over $100 M annually in transportation services across North America. Larry currently serves as Professor of Supply Chain Management at Humber College, and facilitates the CITT courses Transportation Systems and Logistics Processes. In addition to holding his MBA, Larry is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education (EdD).

 

 

 

Warren Sarafinchan, CCLP

Warren Sarafinchan is providing consulting and professional development in the areas of Business Strategy, Negotiations, Supply Chain Management / Optimization as well as Leadership Coaching.  Warren has extensive experience working with leading organizations across North America designing and implementing solutions to complex business challenges.  Warren's facilitative approach has allowed teams he has worked with to accomplish 'impossible dreams'. In addition to Warren's experience leading Supply Chain functions, he has implemented multiple ERP solutions, lead a Sales organization through a period of significant challenge and change as well as heading Information Technology functions.  This broad ranging experience allows Warren to bring total business solutions to his clients.  Warren works from the initial problem solving / visioning through to success implementation. Most recently, Warren was the Executive Vice President of Supply Chain and Sales at SunRype Products Limited.  Prior to SunRype, Warren worked in senior leadership roles for Mars Canada, Maple Leaf Foods and Labatt Breweries of Canada.  Under his leadership, the teams Warren worked with have developed and implemented strategies that have delivered significant financial improvements, increased customer collaboration and overall improvement in team engagement.  Additionally, Warren has developed and implemented a Negotiations professional development program that is proven to enable organizations to create significant value with both customers and suppliers.

 

Michel Tanguay, CCLP

Facilitator/trainer for nearly 15 years Mr. Tanguay has held his CCLP designation since 1982. Mr. Tanguay creates and facilitates training courses in integrated logistics, procurement and transportation. A career of more than 30 years with the Quebec Liquor Corporation has allowed him to acquire a vast experience in various components of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, distribution, transportation and customer service.

Mr. Tanguay facilitates specific training courses for various organizations and companies such as: CÉGEP André Laurendeau, CÉGEP de Saint-Hyacinthe, CITT, CPA - Chartered Professional Accountants, SCMA - Supply Chain Management Association, STM - Société de transport de Montréal - Montreal Public Transit, SYNOR Group.
