An online, two-week series of workshops, roundtables, networking and recruitment opportunities focused on using principles of diversity, equity and inclusion to fill jobs in the logistics sector
Like virtually every sector, transportation logistics has much work to do in terms of equity – including, but not limited to, gender and gender identity; race; disability; and neurodiversity. But, importantly, organizations are beginning to acknowledge these inequities and take steps to solve them. This is crucial to establishing equity in the industry. And it is also vital to solving the practical problem of the talent gap and talent shortage in the logistics field.
CITT has identified diversity and bias-awareness as a vital competency for the modern logistics professional. As such The Road to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Logistics will tackle these issues head-on, with practical workshops, challenging conversations, and insights from those in industry-leading on diversity initiatives.
The Road to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Logistics will consist of two main parts. The first is the series of workshops and roundtables across the two weeks. The second is an Alberta-focused job fair that will help employers and employees put the workshops into practice by connecting and filling logistics jobs.
