Transportation by air saw significant changes and opportunities during the COVID pandemic. Now that the transportation industry is coming to understand what post-pandemic supply chains look like, the air cargo industry is looking ahead to ways to solve new transportation problems - and to tackle emerging issues.
This expert panel conversation will provide insights into some of the most important trends in, and coming to, transportation by air. You'll hear what's likely to impact global and domestic supply chains, and what's likely further away from implementation.

Ajay Gupta has recently stepped down from his last corporate position as “Senior Manager (& Head) - Defense Trade Compliance & Contract Security”, Irving Shipbuilding Inc., based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. In late 2019, Ajay assumed this newly created role as Head Of International Trade / Risk Compliance and Contract Security functions across Irving Shipbuilding Inc.’s various divisions.
Ajay is an international compliance and logistics executive with a global DNA. Previously, he has held roles in 3PL, aerospace and software, focusing on global logistics and trade compliance.
Over the years, Ajay has been very active within the academic and professional communities, serving on the CITT Board of Directors (2008-2014), two Curriculum Advisory Committees at Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology (2000-2004), as a Judge at the DeGroote MBA Games-Strategy (2013-2014. He holds Bachelor of Chemistry (Honours) and MBA (Marketing & Finance) degrees from India, apart from IATA/UFTAA (IATA, Geneva), CCLP (Canada), P.Log. (Canada), and P.A.In. (‘Professional in Applied Innovation’, Canada) certifications.
Since concluding his last corporate mandate at Irving, his primary focus has been to support logistics education and consulting assignments relating to global logistics and strategic trade controls.

Stephen Maybury graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree and a Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering. He also has a Master of Business Administration degree in International Aviation from Concordia University. Stephen is a registered Professional Engineer, Accredited Airport Executive and a Certified International Trade Professional.
Since 2001, he has worked in leadership roles with various airports across Canada including the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, Charlottetown Airport Authority, and Southport Aerospace Centre Inc. In 2012, Stephen was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Saskatoon Airport Authority to strategically build corporate success and deliver Canada’s most valued airport experience.

Stephen has been in the airline industry for 25 years, with the past
20 of those in Cargo. He began his airline career in Vancouver at
Airports before moving over to Cargo in 2000, where he worked in various
roles ranging from operations and customer service to Manpower Resource
Planning Manager and Cargo Service Manager. When Stephen moved over to
Sales in 2009, his first role was as an Area Sales Manager for BC, and
he has subsequently held the roles of Western Canada Regional Manager
and Senior Strategic Account Manager for Canada before moving into his
most current position.
Stephen has always been passionate about all aspects of the aviation
industry since a very young age. Before entering the airline industry,
Stephen graduated from UBC with a degree in science. To continue
learning and evolving his skillset, Stephen has taken various management
leadership courses and holds a P.Log. designation. Outside of work, he
enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 young daughters, travelling,
golfing, skiing, and maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.
