Scholarships & Bursaries


There are several scholarship and bursary opportunities available to learners taking CCLP courses across the country. Students are welcome to apply for more than one.


National Scholarships & Bursaries

 

CITT Bursary for Members of Equity-Deserving Groups

Multiple full scholarships available for CCLP logistics & business courses offered directly by CITT each semester

Application deadline: Applications may be submitted year round and will be considered for the next available semester, as available.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Resident of Canada with a postal address in one of the Canadian provinces or territories and a valid SIN.
  • Member of one (or more) equity-deserving groups, including: Indigenous Peoples, Persons with Disabilities, Visible Minorities, Women, and/or Immigrants to Canada.
  • Experiencing financial challenges that impede your ability to fund your studies without assistance.
  • Not receiving any other financial support to take CITT courses from any other source (for example: an employer, a government program).

Agnes French Memorial Scholarship

One annual scholarship of $450

Application deadline: Apply by July 31st to be considered for this scholarship for the full academic year (Fall, Winter & Spring semesters) commencing in September.

Qualifications: To qualify, you need to have already completed Transportation Systems and Logistics Processes, have achieved a passing mark in your most recent course, and you have to be responsible for paying your own course registration fees.

To apply, please submit the following:

  • A short essay (approximately 250 words in length) stating which scholarship(s) you are applying for, outlining your career objectives, and explaining the role that the CCLP designation will play in achieving these goals.

  • A signed letter stating that you are not receiving any funding from either your employer or the government for these courses.

  • A completed course registration form (click here to download a PDF copy of the form)

This scholarship is made available by the PPCLA (Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Logistics Association), in honour of Agnes French. Agnes French was a long-time administrator of the PPCLA, and responsible for general office activities, as well as creating and managing the associations' conferences. Ms. French had seen the association transform over the years, including a couple of name changes, and was responsible for keeping the association active during lean years.

Transportation Law Scholarship

One annual scholarship of $500

Application deadline: Apply by July 31st to be considered for this scholarship for the full academic year (Fall, Winter & Spring semesters) commencing in September.

Qualifications: This scholarship is for a student applying to take Transportation Law. To qualify, you need to have achieved a passing mark in your most recent course, and you have to be responsible for paying your own course registration fees.

To apply, please submit the following:

  • A short essay (approximately 250 words in length) stating which scholarship(s) you are applying for, outlining your career objectives, and explaining the role that the CCLP designation will play in achieving these goals.

This scholarship is made available by William S.G.Tackaberry, CCLP, of TCRC Freight Legal Services.

PMTC Young Leaders Education Bursary

Application deadline: April 30, 2023

Qualifications: Applications must be employed by a current PMTC member company, or be a child of a PMTC member company employee. Full details available here.

Each year, the Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) will award 2 PMTC Young Leaders an Education Bursary. The bursary covers the costs for the recipient to complete 2 of the 4 courses that are required to complete the “PMTC Logistics Management Graduate Program” which consists of four CITT courses:

  • Transportation Systems
  • Logistics Processes
  • Logistics Decision Modelling
  • Business Writing

The award helps promote investment in the training needs of the future young leaders of our great industry for candidates lacking the necessary corporate funding to pursue the PMTC Logistics Management Program.

Regional Scholarships & Bursaries

 

Montreal Traffic Club’s JK Smith Scholarship

One annual scholarship covering full tuition fees for one course (textbooks excluded)

Qualifications: Available to residents of Quebec only. To qualify, you also need to have already completed Transportation Systems and Logistics Processes, have achieved a passing mark in your most recent course, and you have to be responsible for paying your own course registration fees.

This scholarship is made available annually in August by the Montreal Traffic Club to support continuing education efforts by students in the supply chain field. It honours the memory of Mr. J.K.Smith founding director of the Montreal Traffic Club in 1926.

CITT Toronto Area Council Bursary

Two annual bursaries of $495 each

Application deadline: June 1, 2024

Eligibility: The CITT Toronto Area Council bursaries are open to ANY student residing in the GTA registered in the CCLP program in 2024. The bursary is intended to be applied to any course in the CCLP program in which the student was enrolled in 2024 – including a course which has been successfully completed.

The CITT TAC Executive Committee will review the applications and decide on two winners, to be announced at the CITT TAC general meeting in late 2024. If you have any questions email: cclp.denise@gmail.com

CITT Quebec Area Council Bursary

One bursary of $750-800 + taxes

Application deadline: December 23, 2022

Eligibility: The CITT Quebec Council, funded by the CTEF, offers one annual bursary for any student residing in Quebec. The bursary is intended to be applied to any course in the CCLP program in which the student will be enrolled in 2023. CTEF will pay CITT directly for the course, a value of $750-$800 plus taxes.

To apply, please submit the following:

  • A short essay (approximately 250 words in length) stating which scholarship(s) you are applying for, outlining your career objectives, and explaining the role that the CCLP designation will play in achieving these goals.

  • A signed letter stating that you are not receiving any funding from either your employer or the government for these courses.

  • A completed course registration form (if you've already registered, just mention that in the body of your email)

The CITT Quebec Executive Committee will review the applications and decide upon a winner, to be announced in January 2023.
