It’s different out here. Unlike the dense, high-volume, retail-heavy eastern network, Western Canada is about massive quantities of natural resources moving long distances: underground in extensive pipeline networks, and overground on remote highways and in 2.5-kilometer-long super trains. From the country’s largest port to the world’s largest potash basin, Western Canadian supply chains are critical to the future of Canadian trade.

In this session we’ll explore the importance of Western Canada’s supply chains to Canada and the world, the biggest issues facing Western Canadian commodity shippers today, and the impact on western trade corridors of the Federal government’s target to double non-US exports by 2030.
