DP WORLD, PORT OF VANCOUVER SITE TOUR
As part of Supply Chain Week BC, Supply Chain Canada invites you to an exclusive in-person tour of the DP World Vancouver Centerm facility—a vital node in Canada’s Pacific Gateway and a powerhouse of North American trade.
This tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of Canada’s busiest and most technologically advanced container terminals. Operated by DP World, the Centerm facility processes over 1.5 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) annually and plays a critical role in connecting Canadian exporters and importers to global markets. With the growth of containerized cargo at the Port of Vancouver projected to rise significantly in the coming years, this tour gives supply chain professionals an up-close view of how such infrastructure supports economic resilience, trade competitiveness, and supply chain agility.
Participants will gain insights into:
- The operational flow of a modern marine terminal
- Port logistics and intermodal integration with rail and trucking networks
- Container shipping economics, current trade volumes, and future growth forecasts
- How DP World’s $350M Centerm expansion project has increased capacity and efficiency
- The global outlook for container shipping and its impact on North American supply chains
The tour will include return bus transportation from Grand Villa Casino, located at 4331 Dominion Street in Burnaby, followed by a networking social where attendees can connect, debrief, and share perspectives with fellow professionals, students, and industry stakeholders.
Whether you manage sourcing, logistics, operations, or infrastructure, this is a must-attend opportunity to experience first-hand the port that moves nearly 20% of Canada’s traded goods by value.
