This course is intended to provide the motor carrier industry with the necessary training to better understand Canadian roadside regulatory requirements. The goal of the training is to provide each motor carrier representative with the tools and knowledge to achieve compliance with driver safety regulations and a better understanding of the relationship between driver regulatory requirements and out-of-service conditions.

- Regulatory definitions and regulations for extra-provincial operations
- Commercial driver’s license and driver qualification requirements
- Dangerous goods
- Federal hours-of-service rules and electronic logging device rules
- Annual inspection reports
- Standards for trip inspection reports
- Schedules for commercial motor vehicles
- Human trafficking identification and prevention
- Documenting violations
Expenses
- Included: All training materials will be provided, including regulations, the CVSA North American Standard Out-of-Service Criteria, highlighters and pens. Students will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion.
- Not Included: Attendees are responsible for airfare, transportation, meals, hotel accommodations and any other travel expenses.
