Humanitarian Logistics Speaker Event

CITT Vancouver Area Council is excited to host two local CCLP designation holders who will talk about their experiences using their logistics skills in Humanitarian efforts in Canada and internationally. Come hear a different perspective on how logistics can be used to improve people’s lives through the movement of goods and supplies. This will be Vancouver Area Council's first in-person speaker meeting in 3 years, and we are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity.
This event will be held at Ascenda School of Management - #200 – 666 Burrard Street, Vancouver BC on Saturday, April 22nd – 10:00AM to noon. There will be light refreshments available as well as a door prize for a pair of tickets to our upcoming Social Night in May.

Speakers:
Terry Mills, CCLP – Terry has experience in many facets of business and transportation including with CP Rail, road transportation and air and ocean Freight Forwarding. He earned his Bachelor and Masters in Education while working in the field and then applied his knowledge teaching logistics to adults. He is now a volunteer for the Red Cross assisting with Disaster Management.
Steve Thompson, CCLP - Steve has held many Logistics and Operations leadership roles as both a user and provider of transportation services. His career now focuses on Humanitarian logistics and operations activities, helping people living in crisis and injustice through relief and development programs. He obtained his CITT designation in 2004.
