CITT has announced a new partnership with Green Freight Assessments, an organization that provides support accessing and using government subsidies for sustainability transformation projects.
CITT has announced a new partnership with Green Freight Assessments, an organization specializing in helping companies access and deploy government funding for sustainability transformation.
"ESG has become an important focus for the industry and for CITT in recent years," says Pina Melchionna, President & CEO of CITT. "While many in the business acknowledge the importance of sustainability, they often face hurdles in accessing available funding. There are also knowledge gaps about what the funding can be used for and how to deploy it," she continues.
"Green Freight Assessments have identified that there are major opportunities to advance sustainability that aren't being taken advantage of. There's $250,000 per fleet, per year for this type of project - which can go a long way with the right guidance. We hope the industry looks into this opportunity as part of our collective goal of a more sustainable transportation sector."
Green Freight Assessments says, of the partnership:
We are delighted to announce our partnership with CITT to support their mandate to advance the logistics industry in Canada!
By partnering with CITT, we align ourselves with a network that values cooperation and innovation. We at Green Freight Assessments specialize in helping fleets reduce fuel usage by sourcing cutting-edge equipment and government grant funding to finance sustainability transformation projects.
With the federal government providing up to $250,000 in funding per fleet, per year for this type of activity, the time to act is now. Our goal is to support fleets in reducing their environmental impact by leveraging this funding, while also enhancing their operational efficiency. Cleaner, more efficient logistics systems not only support the growth of the Canadian economy, but the preservation of our environment.
This partnership with CITT will enable us to better serve the logistics community, leveraging CITT’s extensive network and industry expertise. Together, we will work to ensure that fleets have the necessary tools and support to adopt greener practices and access critical funding opportunities. We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration brings and look forward to making significant strides towards a more sustainable future for the logistics industry.
