CITT & Supply Chain Manitoba Announce Formal Industry Alliance
CITT – Canada’s Logistics Association – and Supply Chain Manitoba have announced that they have entered into a formal alliance. The alliance will strengthen ties between the two organizations, enhancing CITT’s already strong presence in province of Manitoba, and supporting Supply Chain Manitoba to deliver its mandate of workforce development in the area of transportation and distribution with CITT’s industry-recognized, competency-based content.
“CITT has had an informal relationship with Supply Chain Manitoba for quite some time. And we’re thrilled to finally be able to formalize our alliance,” says Pina Melchionna, President & CEO of CITT. “We’re thrilled with their commitment to the circular economy and principles of ESG, and SCM’s mandate focusing on talent and skills development in transportation and distribution has so many synergies with our offerings for industry – and our goals of advancing the logistics profession across the country,” she continued.
“We already have some ideas in place on specific types of training and professional development we could collaborate on with SCM. And CITT is looking forward to bringing those ideas to life in the months and years to come.”
Erin Lubinski, Director of Workforce Development at Supply Chain Manitoba said of the Alliance, “our partnership with CITT is a natural fit, bringing their highly respected content and learning to Manitoba in ways that will be even more accessible to people in our province. We’re particularly excited about opportunities to help prepare individuals for new careers in transportation and distribution, addressing a pressing workforce need to keep our economy competitive.”
