CITT Announces Alliance with Women in Supply Chain
Canada’s Logistics Association, CITT, is pleased to announce the formation of an industry alliance with Women in Supply Chain
CITT is pleased to announce the formation of an industry alliance with Women in Supply Chain (WISC), an association dedicated to promoting knowledge, value, and career development for those in supply chain.
WISC brings people together across industries, organizations, institutions, and communities to strengthen how the supply chain is understood, valued, and supported. By creating space for connection, dialogue, and collaboration, WISC helps people recognize where they fit, why their contribution matters, and how collective action builds more resilient supply chains.
“We’re thrilled to formalize our relationship with WISC,” says Pina Melchionna, President & CEO of CITT. “Women are a powerful force for good in our industry. From positions of leadership to volunteers at all levels, women have – and continue to make – a profound impact through transportation logistics. As Canada’s Logistics Association, we’ve made supporting and empowering these women an important part of our mandate. We look forward to working with WISC in the months and years to come and continuing to advance this important work.”
“Supply chain is not one role, one title, or one organization. It is the connection between all of us. WISC exists to bring people together so we can better understand our impact, strengthen collaboration, and build resilient supply chains that support both industry and the communities we serve,” says Cindy Clark, President of Women in Supply Chain Association.
ABOUT WISC
Women in Supply Chain Association (WISC) is a Canadian not-for-profit association dedicated to advancing awareness, participation, and collaboration across the full supply chain ecosystem. WISC promotes opportunities, visibility, and support for women and underrepresented groups. Its work depends on the active engagement of allies, leaders, students, professionals, institutions, organizations, corporations, government, and community partners who understand that resilient supply chains are built through broader awareness, stronger connections, and shared action.
WISC’s work goes beyond hosting events. The association creates opportunities for people to interact, engage, communicate, and contribute across sectors, disciplines, and industries. By demystifying the supply chain and helping individuals see how their skills, experiences, and perspectives fit into the larger system, WISC supports career growth, leadership development, partnership, and shared problem-solving.
Through curated conversations, strategic alliances, educational collaboration, thought leadership, and community building, WISC champions the issues, organizations, and opportunities that strengthen supply chains and the communities they support. Its vision is to help people and organizations recognize where supply chains are under pressure, where collaboration is needed, and how collective action can create the resilience required to adapt, pivot, and thrive.
WISC invites individuals and organizations to help shape what comes next. Whether through attendance, associateship, sponsorship, partnership, mentorship, advocacy, or shared expertise, there is a place for everyone to contribute to a more connected, inclusive, and future-ready supply chain.
