CITT Announces Partnership and Course Offering through the World Diversity and Accessibility Association
CITT has announced a new partnership with the World Diversity and Accessibility Association, aimed at delivering deep yet foundational training in logistics, distribution and transportation to people with disabilities
CITT – Canada’s Logistics Association – has announced a new partnership with the World Diversity and Accessibility Association, aimed at delivering deep yet foundational training in logistics, distribution and transportation to people with disabilities who might otherwise have difficulty engaging with the content.
Under the partnership, the WDAA will adapt the curriculum of the CITT Canadian Transportation & Distribution Logistics Microcredential to be accessible to Canadians with disabilities.
Launched to the public for the first time in late 2024, the Canadian Transportation & Distribution Logistics Microcredential was designed by CITT to compress years of on-the-job learning into a comprehensive curriculum. Learners who earn the microcredential will have developed the foundational competencies identified by industry to build and advance a career in the complex business of transportation & logistics.
“CITT is thrilled about this partnership and making our professional development even more accessible,” says Pina Melchionna, President & CEO of CITT. “We know that a thriving transportation sector is one that reduces barriers for talent and fosters the best and brightest – regardless of their background or disability.” She continues, “CITT has already done work to make our courses and learning experience more accessible. With the incredible work of the WDAA team, we’re pleased to expand that accessibility even further and make a successful career in transportation and logistics more welcoming to people with disabilities. This is an initiative we’re very proud of.”
“WDAA is proud to collaborate with CITT on adapting the Transportation Systems and Logistics Processes courses to better serve professionals with disabilities,” says Anna Badulina, Executive Director of the World Diversity and Accessibility Association.
“Everyone deserves the chance to learn and grow in their careers, and this partnership is a big step toward creating more inclusive opportunities in the transportation and logistics industry.”
About The World Diversity and Accessibility Association
Leaders from academia, government, charity, and the private sector have united to form an association dedicated to advancing accessibility for people with disabilities. Our collective vision emphasizes collaboration across various industries and sectors to create a more inclusive world. Our journey began with a simple belief: public environments, services, workplaces should invite everyone including people with disability. Today, we focus on helping communities, organizations, and public spaces become inclusive, accessible, and welcoming for all.
By providing accessibility assessments, diversity consulting, training programs, and public awareness campaigns, we empower spaces to break down barriers and foster environments that support individuals with disabilities. Our goal is to go beyond compliance, driving real change that enriches lives and builds communities where everyone can fully participate.
